This policy explains how Home Design Compass handles information collected during residential architecture, interior design and renovation engagements.

2. 02Site Survey & Measurement DataMeasured drawings, photographs and structural observations gathered on site are retained only for the commissioned project.
3. 03Design Drawings & Intellectual PropertyAll architectural and interior drawings remain the intellectual property of Home Design Compass until full settlement, then transfer per the engagement letter.
4. 04Contractor & Subcontractor ConfidentialityEvery trade working on a project signs a confidentiality undertaking before receiving access to client design documentation.
5. 05Material & Vendor DisclosuresSupplier and material sourcing details are shared with the client only, and never published without written consent.
6. 06Construction Site PhotographySite photography is used for quality control and, where the client approves, for portfolio and marketing purposes only.
7. 07Financial & Budget RecordsProject budgets, invoices and payment schedules are stored securely and accessible only to the assigned project manager.
8. 08Third-Party Supplier SharingOnly the minimum information required to fulfil an order is shared with material suppliers — never the full client brief.
9. 09Data Retention After CompletionProject records are retained for ten years to support structural warranty claims, then securely destroyed.
10. 10Client Confidentiality & NDAEvery project is governed by a standard non-disclosure agreement covering both the design and the residence itself.
11. 11Marketing & Portfolio UseNo finished project is published, named or exhibited without the client's explicit written approval.
12. 12Policy Updates & Client NotificationMaterial changes to this policy are communicated to active clients in writing before they take effect.

These terms govern the engagement of Home Design Compass for architecture, interior design and renovation services.

1. 01Scope of Work DefinitionEvery project begins with a signed scope document listing the rooms, systems and finishes included in the commission.
2. 02Design Revisions & ApprovalsEach design stage includes two revision rounds; further revisions are quoted as variations before work proceeds.
3. 03Permitting & Regulatory ComplianceWe prepare and submit all drawings required for planning and building consent, and manage authority queries through approval.
4. 04Material Selection & SubstitutionsWhere a specified material becomes unavailable, we propose an equivalent of equal quality and finish for client approval before substitution.
5. 05Construction Timeline & MilestonesThe programme is structured around fixed milestones, each with a written handover so progress is always verifiable.
6. 06Site Access & Safety ObligationsThe client provides safe, insured access to the property; we maintain the site to current health-and-safety standard for the duration.
7. 07Change Orders & Variation CostsAny client-requested change is documented as a written variation with adjusted cost and timeline before work begins.
8. 08Payment Schedule & MilestonesPayments are tied to milestones — deposit, design sign-off, construction start, second-fix and handover — not to calendar dates.
9. 09Quality Standards & InspectionsEvery package passes a 200-point inspection covering structure, waterproofing, joinery, mechanicals and finishes before handover.
10. 10Handover & Defect LiabilityA six-month defect-liability period applies to every project, during which any finish defect is rectified at no cost.
11. 11Warranty Coverage & LimitationsStructural work carries a ten-year warranty; finishes and fittings carry the manufacturer's warranty passed through to the client.
12. 12Termination & Project SuspensionEither party may terminate with written notice; work completed and materials ordered up to the termination date are invoiced at cost.
